4.3 - OPENING SPEED ADJUSTMENT (XVPR/NC models)
• To make the adjustment it is necessary to remove the cap (2). The position of fig. 1 corresponds to the maximum opening
speed (factory pre-set value). To increase the opening time (slow down shutter opening speed), turn the screw (19)
clockwise with a 14mm socket spanner. N.B. Variations in inlet pressure and ambient temperature can affect the valve
opening time.
• When the operation is completed, reposition the cap (2) in the original position.
5.0 - MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations must be carried out in the absence of an explosive atmosphere.
If it is necessary to replace the opening system (1):
• Before carrying out any operation, make sure that the appliance is not electrically powered;
• It is advisable to avoid bare hand contact with the opening system (1) after a continuous power supply of more than
20 minutes. In case of maintenance, wait for the opening system (1) to cool down or, if necessary, use suitable
protections;
NOTE: The replacement operations of the opening system (1) must be carried out being sure to guarantee the IP65 degree
of the product.
5.1 - OPENING SYSTEM REPLACEMENT (1)
• Only for DN 300: completely unscrew the central screw (25) and remove (by pulling it upwards) the coil (26) of the auxiliary
solenoid valve (27);
• Unscrew the retaining screw (18) and move the protective casing (3) upwards to the position of fig. 4 (DN 300 fig. 5);
• Loosen the retaining screw (16), rotate the microswitch (15) 180° as shown in fig. 4 (DN 300 fig. 5) and fix it momentarily in
this position. Perform the same operation if the CPI microswitch (6) --> screw (5) and the OPI microswitch (21) --> screw
(20) are present;
• Unscrew and remove the retaining screws (4);
• Now it is possible to remove (by pulling it upwards) the opening system (1);
• Position the new opening system (1) in the same position as the previous one and secure it by tightening the screws (4);
• Replace the microswitch (15) in its original position and secure it with the screw (16);
• If present, position the CPI microswitch (6), rotating it so that when the valve is closed the disc (17) closes the contact (see
fig. 1). Secure it in this position using the screw (5);
• If present, position the OPI microswitch (21), rotating it, so that when the valve is open the disc (17) closes the contact (see
fig. 2). Secure it in this position using the screw (20);
• For the flow rate adjustment switch (15) follow the instructions in 4.2;
• Lower the protective casing (3) and secure it with the screw (18);
• Only for DN 300: insert the new coil (26) on the auxiliary valve (27) and secure it by tightening the central screw (25);
• Electrically wire the new opening system following the instructions given in 3.2 and 6.4;
• Power and de-power the solenoid valve 2 or 3 times, checking its complete opening and closing, thus testing correct operation
after maintenance operations.
6.0 - SWITCH
6.1 - CPI
If the solenoid valve is supplied with the supplied CPI or CPI/OPI, the position of the sensor is already calibrated and fixed,
therefore, to operate them simply electrically connect the cable (23) marked "CPI SWITCH WIRING".
Follow the instructions given in paragraph 6.4.
6.2 - CPI & OPI
If the solenoid valve is supplied with CPI and OPI, the position of the sensors is already calibrated and fixed, therefore, to
operate them simply electrically connect them to the cable (23) marked "CPI + OPI SWITCH WIRING" .
Follow the instructions given in paragraph 6.4.
