The balancer is equipped with a brake which should be in
operation as long as the hose and nozzle, after the
disconnection from the vehicle exhaust pipe, are moving
horizontally along the floor.
Checking the braking function
Check that the brake is disconnected 0,1 - 1,0 m before the
nozzle is leaving the floor and is hoisted up vertically (see
figure A). The brake disconnects when the cord is pressing
a button on the balancer drum (see figure B). If the brake
does not disconnect at the right moment, take following
measures:
a) Check and adjust the measure 10 - 12 mm on the
adjusting nut on the reverse side of the balancer
(see figure C).
b) Move the balancer cord stop and the cord fitting in the
hose coupling slightly upwards or downwards.
WARNING!
Risk for personal injury and/or damaging vehicles!
The exhaust hose should return to its normal position at
an even and steady pace. Check this function and, if
necessary, adjust the balancers lifting power (see
page 48).

Der Balancer ist mit einer Bremse versehen, die solange
betätigt sein sollte, wie sich der Schlauch und das Mund-
stück nach der Abkupplung vom Fahrzeugauspuff horizontal
über den Boden bewegen.
Überprüfen und Einstellen der Bremsfunktion
Stellen Sie sicher, daß die Bremse 0,1 - 1,0 m, bevor das
Mundstück den Boden verlässt und senkrecht nach oben
gezogen wird, deaktiviert wird (siehe Abbildung A). Die
Bremse wird deaktiviert, wenn das Seil einen Knopf auf der
Balancer-trommel herunterdrückt (siehe Abbildung B). Wenn
die Bremse nicht im richtigen Moment deaktiviert wird,
gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:
a) Die Justiermutter des Bremsbandes überprüfen und
auf einen Abstand von 10-12 mm einstellen (siehe
Abbildung C).
b) Bewegen Sie den Seilstop oder die Seilverbindung an
der Schlauchkupplung leicht nach oben oder unten.

Gefahr für Personen- und/oder Fahrzeugschäden!
Der Schlauch soll mit gleichmäßiger Geschwindigkeit
automatisch in seine Ausgangsposition zurückgezogen
werden. Diese Funktion kontrollieren und bei Bedarf die
Rückziehkraft des Balancers einstellen (siehe Seite 48).
