The heat pump will automat ically select Cool, Heat , or Fan
operat ion according to set temperat ure. When SPEED is set
to AUTO t he heat pump automat ically adjust s t he fan speed
according to room temperat ure.
17. VACATION
10°C/ 50°F Heat ing set s t he system to maint ain 10°C/ 50°F. This
is used to prevent freezing during long unoccupied periods of
t ime.
18. TIMER ON/ OFF
To set t he Timer using t he TIMER ON but ton, press t he CLOCK
UP / DOWN. The t ime will be changed by 1 minute. Press t he
APPLY to confirm t he set t ing. Press t he TIME OFF but ton to
cancel t he t imer funct ion.

• Use t he POWER but ton only when t he remote cont rol is lost
or damaged.
• Press t he POWER but ton and t he unit will beep once,
indicat ing st art of operat ion.
• The unit will run automat ically in t he following modes:

• While in Manual Operat ion, temperat ure and fan speed
cannot be changed, nor will it operate in t imer or DRY mode.
Insert ing t he Batteries
1. Remove t he bat tery cover
2. Insert 2 AAA bat teries as illust rated not ing bat tery polarit y
3. Reinst all t he bat tery cover
NOTE:
• The dist ance from t he remote cont rol to t he receiver should
be less t han 23 feet wit h no obst ruct ions.
• If t he remote cont rol display is weak or t he operat ing
dist ance has diminished, t he bat teries may need to be
replaced.
• Remote cont rol malfunct ions can somet imes be corrected
by removing t he bat teries from t he remote for a few
minutes and t hen reinst alling t hem.
• Remove t he bat teries from t he remote cont rol if t he unit
will not be in use for an extended period of t ime. If any
segment s of t he display remain act ive after bat tery removal,
press t he reset but ton.

19. CLOCK
To set t he clock using t he CLOCK but ton, press t he CLOCK UP /
DOWN. The t ime will change by 1 minute. Press t he APPLY to
confirm t he set t ing. The clock will keep t he original t ime if t he
APPLY but ton is not pressed in 10 seconds.

Save and Cancel t he TIMER and CLOCK select ion.
21. F/ C
Press F/ C to switch t he remote and unit display temperat ure
bet ween Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Opt imizing Performance
1. Close doors and windows during operat ion
2. Do not block t he air inlet or out let
3. Wipe t he cabinet using a soft and dry clot h. For serious
st ains, use a neut ral detergent diluted wit h water. Wring t he
water out of t he clot h before wiping down t he unit . Then
wipe off t he detergent completely.
Cleaning t he Front Cover
1. Open t he front cover by pulling it upward
2. Remove t he Filter:
Gent ly push up on t he filter's center t ab unt il it is released
from t he stopper, and remove t he filter in a downward
mot ion.
3. Clean t he filter
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust , or wash t he filter
wit h water. After washing, dry t he filter completely.
4. At t ach t he filter
At t ach t he filter so t hat t he "FRONT" label is facing
out ward. Make sure t hat t he filter is securely at t ached
behind t he holding t abs. If t he filter is not at t ached
correct ly t he unit may not achieve maximum efficiency.
5. Close t he front cover.
