Operating Instructions
Keep all persons out of the path of moving equipment and logs when loading, turning or raising
logs. Failure to do so can result in serious injury.
Use the hydraulic toe boards to raise either end of the log to level a tapered log.
As indicated by the valve label, the hydraulic toe board levers are located to the right of the hydraulic valve
stack. The hydraulic toe board is raised by pulling the lever down and lowered by pushing the lever forward.
This setting can be changed by switching the hydraulic hoses around.
Raise the appropriate lever to raise the front or rear toe board until the heart of the log measures
the same distance from the bed rails at each end of the log.
The center of the log should be parallel to the bunks so the distance from the center of the log to the bunks
should be equal at both ends.
Operating Tips
The hydraulic roller toe board can be used to facilitate manual lengthwise repositioning of the log
on the log deck. Raise hydraulic toe board as needed.
Lower fully the rear and front toe board when the taper compensation is not needed or when the squared
face of the log is facing down.
