Safety Message To Installers, Users and Maintenance Personnel
1.
Remove and retain the six screws and washers which
secure the front panel.
2. See figure 1. To remove the front panel, unplug the
front panel wires/connector from the printed circuit board (J3).
In the master (MAS) mode, the intercom acts as an
amplified speaker and broadcasts the signal received
on the signal lines. In the slave (SLA) mode, the
intercom acts as a microphone and transmits audio,
via the signal lines, to a remote location.
3.
The intercom is set at the factory in the master (MAS)
mode. To set it to the slave (SLA) mode, use a long nose pliers
and move the mini-jumper at J2 from the MAS to the SLA
position (see figure 1).
4. See figure 1. Install the supplied mini-jumper on J3.
This jumper replaces the volume control and allows the intercom
to be switched, via the remote control lines, into master mode
at full volume.
5.
Using the previously removed screws and washers,
secure the new blank front panel to the intercom. Ensure that
the cork gasket is placed between the front panel and the
housing.
6.
Reconnect power to the intercom and test for proper
operation.
