Lighting of main burners
IMPORTANT: for barbecue models with hood, light the barbecue with the HOOD
OPEN. Never light the appliance with the hood down.
For other models, remove the barbecue lid before lighting, and place it behind
the main body of the appliance on the notch supplied for this purpose, in order to
form a windbreak during cooking or put it on the floor. Never light the appliance
with the lid down.
Automatic lighting:
1. Remove the lid (open the hood) and make sure that all the knobs are in the "OFF"
position (•) (push the knob and turn it in the direction of clockwise to the stop)
2. Turn on the gas cylinder valve
3. Push on the left knob and rotate to the "CLICK" in order to ignite the 1
4. In the same way, continue to light the other burners proceeding from left to right.
5. If one or more burners fail to ignite after steps 2 and 3, turn the knob to the "OFF"
position and repeat the operation 2 or 3 times.
6. If one or more burners still fail to ignite, shut off the gas supply, wait 5 minutes for the
gas to clear and repeat steps 2 and 3 or light the burners with a commercial lighter
(see Lighting of side burner).
Manual lighting:
– Should automatic lighting fail to work, place all the control knobs on "OFF" (•). Place
a lit match or a commercial lighter close to the burner ports, and then turn the control
knob to the high position (represented by a large flame symbol).
– Should one or more burners fail to light after several attempts at automatic and/or
manual lighting, check that the burners and/or injectors are not blocked.
Lighting of side burner
IMPORTANT: make sure to open the side burner hood before lighting it. Never
let the side burner hood closed during lighting or using of side burner. The
side burner is designed for pan with a diameter from 10 to 22cm. Make sure to
respect these dimensions.
Automatic lighting:
1. Open and make sure that the knob is in the "OFF" position (•) (push the knob and turn
it in the direction of clockwise to the stop)
2. Turn on the gas cylinder valve
3. Push on the knob and rotate to the "CLICK" in order to ignite the burner.
