Product description
A diesel heater (Figure 1-1) requires an optimal fuel / air
mixture for operation� The correct ratio of diesel and
oxygen in the air ensures a clean, soot-free flame in the
heater burner�
At higher altitudes, air pressure and the quantity of
oxygen in the air fall� This means the fuel required by
the pump installed as standard (Figure 1-3) can no
longer be fully combusted� This can cause the heater
to soot or smoke�
To adjust the fuel quantity accordingly at higher
altitudes, a second pump (Figure 1-4) is installed
parallel to the standard pump� This has a smaller
delivery volume� It is possible to switch between the
two pumps via a changeover switch (Figure 2) inside
the vehicle�

laws (in Germany, for example, the End-of-life Vehicle
Regulation) must be observed�
