Guide the power tool in the cutting direction,
evenly and with gentle propulsion. Too
strong a feed significantly reduces the
service life of the insertion tools and can
damage the power tool.
Do not cut sheet metal at available welding
points.
Do not cut multi-layered sheet metal that
exceeds the maximum material thickness.
To improve the cutting result and increase
the service life of the blades, applying a
lubricant along the planned cutting line
before machining is recommended:
– Cuts in a steel sheet: Cutting paste or
cutting oil
– Cuts in aluminium: Petroleum
NOTE
Only switch the power tool off after you have
pulled it out of the cut mark.
Cut at the edge in an overhead position.
The cutting table points upwards.
NOTE
Depending on the sheet metal thickness or
tensile strength of the workpiece, there is a
choice of two different blade types for
machining.
Standard blade:
– Suitable for sheet metal with a tensile
strength of 400 N/mm
No special identification.
Chromium steel blade:
– Identified by 'Cr'
(not included in the scope of supply)
For these reasons, it is recommended to
use tools only according to the
specifications in the table:
Aluminium
250 N/mm
Construc-
400 N/mm
tion steel
600 N/mm
Stainless
steel
800 N/mm
Blade properties
The blades have four sharp cutting edges.
If an edge has become blunt, the blades
are each turned by 90° (next sharp cutting
edge).

If you can see that a considerably
increased feed force is achieving little work
progress, the blade is worn out.
The upper blade and lower blade are
identically shaped and can be used
anywhere (top or bottom).
CAUTION!
The blades are not suitable for sharpening.
If all four cutting edges have become blunt,
the blades must be replaced. Never work
with blunt blades.
Maintenance and care
WARNING!
Remove the battery before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
Cleaning
WARNING!
When working with metals for prolonged
periods, electrically conductive dust could
build up inside the housing of the tool. This
would impair the protective isolation!
Operate the machine using an earth leakage
circuit breaker (30 mA trigger current).
Regularly clean the power tool and ventila-
tion slots. Frequency of cleaning is depend-
ent on the material and duration of use.
Regularly blow out the housing interior
and motor with dry compressed air.
Clean dust filter at regular intervals.
Remove dust filter and blow out with dry
compressed air.
Gear
NOTE
Do not loosen the screws on the gear head
during the warranty period. Failure to comply
with this requirement will invalidate any
claims under the manufacturer's warranty.
