7. Maintain
7.1 Charging
When the battery is low, the battery needs to be charged. Unplug the rubber at the end of the device
and connect the USB charger and charging cable. During the charging process, the battery indicator
will turn red. After charging is completed, the charging indicator will turn green.
When the battery is fully charged, unplug the USB charging cable and insert the rubber plug.
7.2 Backfat calibration
Before performing actual backfat measurements, we recommend a calibration procedure to
confirm the function of the smart backfat tester. We offer a plastic calibration column (Figure 7-2).

To perform the calibration procedure, follow these steps:
1) Open the backfat measurement interface;
2) Apply sufficient gel to the probe tip or calibration column;
3) The probe is vertically contacted with the calibration column;
4) Check the measurement results on the screen and confirm that 2 layers, 25mm measurement
values can be obtained. If not, press the "Backfat Scan" button and recalibrate until the above result
is obtained.
5) If there are no acceptable measurements, contact your local dealer forassistance.
7.3 Cleaning
Regular cleaning of the equipment is necessary. It can be cleaned with a soft cloth or paper.
