To verify that the balance is correct, put a


screwdriver in the blade's hole and see if the
balance is perfect Figure 1-(1), otherwise,
make the balance by cutting edging until
the removal of material leave blade again
balanced as shown in Figure 1-(2).

If you are not able to do it, lead to a TRAPP


Authorized Service Center or replace the
blade, which may be too worn.
Use only blades with TRAPP brand.


Replace the blade on the flange, observing


the cutting direction with the motor
rotation direction.
Inspect the cutting blade frequently for


wear or damage such as cracks. Check
the screw that secures the blade, keeping
it tight. If the blade hit an object, stop the
mower, turn it off, unplug it from the outlet
or the spark plug and check the blade for
damage. Damaged parts must be replaced.
Always look for TRAPP Authorized Service
Center.
Removing the cutting blade
Attention!
Before removing the blade, disconnect the
plug from the outlet or the spark plug. The
blade has sharp edges, use gloves or a cloth to
protect your hands.
1. Drain the fuel tank;
2. Lift the right side of the machine;
3. Use a piece of wood to keep the blade
attached;
4. Remove the screw that secures the blade;
5. Check the blade according to the
Instruction Manual. Very worn or damaged
blades must be replaced;
6. Tighten the blade with original screws;
7. Tighten the screws holding the cutting
blade with a torque of 3 kgf.m.
Attention!
Always keep tight the screw that secures the
blade. Loose blade may cause serious injury.
How to sharpen the blade
Note: The vibration is the result of a blade that
is not properly balanced. A damaged blade can
cause serious accidents.
1. Sharpen the blade two times a year or
every 25 hours;
2. Do not sharpen the blade while it is
mounted on the machine. Remove it
according to the instructions in "Removing
the cutting blade";
3. Clean the blade with a brush, soap and
water. Check for cracks, dents or other
damage;
4. Replacement if the blade is worn, bent or
damaged;
