To make the Dolby Pro Logic Surround
effects work, you need to use video tapes or
Laser discs etc. that carry the Dolby
"q" or "A" logo.
Adjusting the sound level
of speakers
To enjoy Dolby Pro Logic Surround effects,
adjust the volume levels of the front, center
and rear speakers by using the test tone.

Press and hold down DOLBY PRO
LOGIC for more than a second.

Turn the JOG dial to choose the Dolby
Pro Logic Surround mode you want.
The display changes as follows:
NORMAL

chapter.

Turn VOLUME (or press VOLUME
(+/–) on the remote) so that the volume
for the front speakers is set to your
normal listening volume.

Press T. TONE ON/OFF on the remote.
The test tone is automatically output
from each speaker in the sequence
shown below.

While sitting in your normal listening
position, adjust the volume using
CENTER LEVEL +/– and REAR LEVEL

adjustments, press T. TONE ON/OFF to
shut off the test tone.
