06 OPERATION
OPERATION UP AND DOWN
Starting from the transport position and always with a trained sanitary technician:
UP
 Attach the chair to the track as explained in page 32.
 Extend the telescopic handles of the chair as explained in page 81.
 Fold the backrest handles as explained in page 83.
 Extend the footrest once the patient is sitting as explained in page 82.
 Fasten the patient with the two belts supplied as explained in page 81.
 Fix the patient's head using the immobilizer located on the track (A).
 Set the track to "stand by" by pressing the ON / OFF button on the control panel (B).
 Approach the chair to the base of the ladder and gently recline the track drive above the
first steps of the ladder.
 If there is a second operator, he/she must extend the telescopic handles before starting
the ride and accompany at all times during the course (2).
 Press the "UP" button to go up the stairs (3).
 Once the section of the stairs is finished, it is very important to fold all the necessary
elements during the plane transfer (4).
DOWN
 Approach the chair to the beginning of the stairs.
 In case there is a second operator, he/she should help placing the chair at the beginning
of the ladder and should assist the inclination of the track.
 Press the "DOWN" button to go down the stairs (3).
The patient should stay fixed at all times when the lift up / down is operated.
It is not permitted in any case to mobilize patients without complying with all the safety
measures. Established.
