OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
• Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 along with
hearing protection. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes and
other possibly serious injuries.
• Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this
product. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious
personal injury.
• Battery-powered machines are always in operating condition. Therefore, always remove the
battery pack when making adjustments or changing accessories, when the machine is not in
use, or when carrying the machine at your side.
1. Changing the Blade (Fig. 1a-1d)
WARNING
• To prevent injuries, slip the blade sheath over the
blade when replacing the blades.
The shear/shrubber is shipped with two blades:
the 4" grass shear blade for cutting grass and light
weeds, and the 8" shrubber blade for trimming
hedges. Make sure to use the correct blade for your
application.
a. Remove the battery pack from the machine.
b. Make sure the blade sheath is covering the
blade being removed and the blade being
installed.
c. Turn the machine upside down.
d. Press the two blade release buttons (E)
simultaneously and pull out the installed blade
from the machine housing. Make sure that no
dirt gets into the housing when you change the
blade.
