Installing the universal crossbar
WARNING: Turn off power at the main fuse box.
□ Remove the universal crossbar (EE) from the xture
body (A).
□ Using the universal crossbar (EE) as a guide, mark on the
wall with the junction box (not included) the locations for
the anchors (HH) with a pencil (not included).
□ Drill a 1/4 in. hole at the two marks, then insert the
anchors (HH).
□
Secure the universal crossbar (EE) to the junction box with
the junction box screws (BB) using installation method (1)
or (2) illustrated below.
□ Align the keyholes in the universal crossbar (EE) with the
anchors (HH) and insert the tapping screws (GG).
(1) The junction box is installed at the top of the universal
crossbar (EE).

(2) The junction box is installed at the bottom of the universal
crossbar (EE).

□ Wrap the ground wire from the xture around the ground
□ Connect the black wire of the power supply to the black

Making the electrical connections
NOTE: Always use the wire nuts (AA) to connect the wires
and push all the excess wires and connections back into the
junction box (not included).
