INSTALLATION
LOCATION
• The filter should ideally be located as close to the pool or spa as possible. Place the
filter and the pump on top of a level concrete slab or similar base. Leave sufficient space
around the filter to carry out maintenance operations.
• Fasten the pump to the slab and place the filter appropriately.
• See the "Specifications" section for the space requirement for each model.
PROTECTION AGAINST BAD WEATHER
• VITALIA cartridge filters are manufactured using material that resists corrosion. However,
in order to ensure that the equipment is reliable, we recommend that the filtration system
be protected from bad weather.
ASSEMBLY
• Place the reduction
pressure gauge on top of the reduction using the O-ring provided. Do not overtighten.
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
• The pipes must be installed so that they do not rest on the filter or the pump. The 50mm
pipes need to be stuck directly to the tank. For the 63mm pipes, stick the union on the
50mm side on the tank and the 63mm outlet in the pipe.
• If the pump and the filter are located below the water level of the pool, you will need
to install isolation valves on the pipework between the pump and the pool and on the
discharge pipe that runs from the filter to the pool.
1. Connection to the pool:
• VITALIA cartridge filters are equipped with two inlet holes labelled as "INLET". Choose the
correct one for installation and close off the other one with the plug supplied. Use one of
the unions supplied to connect the pipe coming from the filter pump. Tighten the union by
hand. Do not use any tools.
2. Connection to the discharge circuit:
• Use one of the unions provided to connect the pipe from the discharge circuit to the filter
outlet labelled as "OUTLET". Tighten the union by hand. Do not use any tools.
• The filter base has four assembly holes to allow the filter to be held in a stable position, if
required.
3. Additional connection for emptying:
• We recommend that you connect the filter in order to facilitate emptying and to evacuate
the water out of the technical room.
