Turning the waffle iron on and off

The waffle iron does not have an on/off switch.
− To turn the waffle iron on, insert the mains plug into
a socket.
The waffle iron is starting to heat up. The red indi-
cator light is turned on. When the green indicator
light turns on, the waffle iron is ready for use.
− To turn the waffle iron off, pull the mains plug out of
the socket.
The indicator lights will turn off.

Cooking waffles

1. Turn on the waffle iron.
2. Pour the waffle dough on the lower baking surfaces.
3. Close the waffle iron.
4. Open the waffle iron after about 2–3 minutes of baking
and check that the waffles are sufficiently browned.
The baking time required for a crispy brown waffle
depends on the type of waffle dough and your
personal taste.
5. Remove the waffles with a kitchen spatula made of
wood or plastic.
6. Pull the mains plug out of the socket after use.
