4. USE
The unit can be powered by either AC power or batteries.
4.1. CONNECTING TO POWER
Plug the AC power cord (supplied) into AC socket on the back of the unit
and then plug into a household power outlet.
4.2. INSTALLING BATTERIES
When AC power is not available, the unit can still operate on DC power
source.
1. Open the battery compartment door on the bottom of the unit.
2. Install 6 pcs UM-2 (C size) batteries (not included). Be sure to
follow the correct polarities (+ and -) as indicated in the battery
compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment door.
4.3. TURNING THE UNIT ON/OFF
Press the /FUNC button to turn the unit on. To turn the unit off, press
and hold /FUNC button.
Note: In CD/MP3/USB/AUX mode, when the unit is not providing the main
function for 15 minutes, the unit will automatically switch to standby mode.
Press the /FUNC button to turn on the unit again.
4.4. ADJUSTING VOLUME
Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- to increase or decrease the volume.
4.5. RADIO OPERATION
1. Pull the radio antenna out of the holder and extend the antenna to its
full length.
2. Press the /FUNC button to select FM mode.
3. Tune to desired station by pressing the
will show the band frequency. Example: FM 97.10 MHz. Each press
of the buttons will increase/decrease the frequency by 0.05 MHz.
4. To exit the FM function, Press the

Improving reception
To optimize reception when listening to stations on the FM band, extend
the telescopic antenna to its full length.
Radio auto scan (search)
Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button for around 3 s (then release the
button), the unit will conduct auto scan until having found a strong signal
while the strong station will be stored automatically.
■ The unit will start to broadcast the P01(the first stored station) after
auto scan finished.
