Mount the Discharge Chute
1. Locate and align the two positioning tabs on the snow
blower body with the discharge chute. (Fig.3A)
2. Place the chute rotation handle over the chute and align
the holes. (Fig.3B)
3. Attach the discharge chute with handle to the snow
blower body using the six screws provided. (Fig.3B)

Assemble the Recoil Starter Handle
1. Slowly pull the recoil starter handle up towards the eye
bolt. (Fig.4)
2. Slip the recoil starter rope into the eye bolt. (Fig.4)

Prepare the Engine before
Starting
Check and Add Engine Oil
NOTICE: This snow blower is shipped without oil
in the engine. Before you start the engine for the first time,
add oil as specified by the instructions in this manual.
If you start the engine without oil, damage will occur.
Use approved oils recommended in the engine's manual
for best performance.
Before you check or add oil:
• Make sure the engine is level.
• Clean the oil fill area of debris.
• Refer to the technical data section for the oil capacity.
1. Make sure the engine is completely stopped.
2. Remove the engine oil dipstick and clean with a cloth. (Fig.5)
3. Install the dipstick. Do not turn or tighten the dipstick.
4. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. The oil level
should be at the FULL mark
5. If the oil level is LOW, add oil to the engine as specified
by the amount in the Technical Data section of this
manual.
6. Wait one minute and check the oil level again.
7. If the oil level is correct, install and tighten the dipstick.

CAUTION: Do not overfill engine with oil, or it will
smoke heavily from the muffler on startup.
IMPORTANT: Check oil level before each use. Add oil if
needed. Fill to FULL line on dipstick.
