Close the lid by pushing it down until it clicks into place.

BOILING WATER
Once filled with water
•
Plug the power base into the wall socket.
•
Place the kettle on the power base.

Press the ON/OFF switch down. The switch will light up, and the
•
kettle will start to heat up.
The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled.
•
The switch will return to the "OFF" position and the light will go
out.
To turn the kettle off before the water boils, move the ON/OFF
•
switch up to the OFF position, or simply lift the kettle from
its base it will switch off and the switch will return to the OFF
position automatically.
Warning: Kettle filled with boiling water is hot. Use only the handle
to pick it up.
Important: Hold kettle handle firmly when pouring, especially when
filled to the max fill line. Do not pour too fast. Unplug the kettle
when not in use.
SAFETY CUT OUT
This kettle is fitted with an automatic safety cut out to protect
against boil dry overheating. It will operate if the kettle is switch ON
with too little or no water inside the kettle. If this cut-out operates,
disconnect the kettle from the mains supply and leave to cool down
for 15 mins before refilling with cold water (otherwise the element
could be damaged).
