· Keep in mind that exposing your watch to magnetic elds can affect its
running, even Blancpain has manged to limit the effects of magnetism by
means of its silicon balance-springs.
· Ensure that the crown and all the push-pieces are in their initial positions
in order to guarantee water resistance. For models with screw-down push-
pieces, screw them back into place after handling.
Taking care of your leather strap
Protect your leather strap from humidity. Should it get wet, immediately absorb
any moisture using a clean and soft dry cloth.
Avoid contact with water, rain, cream, grease or makeup.
Leather such as calfskin, alligator or ostrich is very sensitive to light, contact with
water and abrasion. Please take special care of it and avoid any humidity.
Naturally tanned leather develops the perfect patina through contact with
environmental factors. The colour of your leather strap may thus change with time
and use.
Acquiring a patina is a normal evolution for natural materials such as leather and
could develop into a range of golden or brown tones.
