1. Device overview
Cordivari Heat Manager is a thermostat designed to work with a
temperature sensor that communicates information in real time; this
information is used to manage the auxiliary heating of the water storage
in which it is installed, according to the user's preferences. In this regard,
the user can choose to manually switch the device on after setting
the desired temperature or can program the switching on by selecting
specific time slots and setting the relevant desired temperature. In
addition, the user can also view the measured temperature trend, the
status of the electric heater during the recorded period, and download the
data for the last week. Cordivari Heat Manager allows to optimise power
consumption by programming device switching on only when necessary.
Cordivari Heat Manager, when installed in combination with solar thermal
systems, also allowsto optimise the use of renewable sources, such as
solar energy, and avoid the consumption of energy from fossil fuels when
not necessary. Whether you would want to have, for an higher energy
request than that the system is able to produce with only the primary
solar power, a storage always at the right temperature, it is necessary
to complete the operation of the system with the use of auxiliary heating
elements, more so, if the solar power is the only source for the production
of domestic hot water.
Once the optimum storage temperature has been set, and this is at a
higher value than the set one, the heating element will not ignite avoiding
unnecessary power consumption. Program the device according to your
own needs, to ensure that the heating element switches on approximately
2 hours before the consumption of domestic hot water.
If the domestic hot water is mainly used in the evening, program the
device so that the heating element is switched on in the late afternoon; if
the storage is already at temperature, it will not be supplied.
It is important to use the device by giving priority for its operation to
renewable energy sources.
• Program the switch-on/off logic of the auxiliary energy
sources by giving overall priority to renewable sources
• In order to avoid unnecessary energy and resource
waste, ensure that auxiliary energy source switch-
on/off programming has been correctly completed
by analysing energy consumption of the days
immediately following device installation
• The device has an IP20 protection rating. Therefore, it
is not suitable for outdoor installations. Install it inside
an electric panel or inside an IP55 rated enclosure.
