9.1 Doffing
Doffing is done in reverse sequence. Roll the sealing lip liner down the stump.
10 Perspiration
When use of the liner is started, increased perspiration on the stump may occur. However, this
subsides over the first two weeks. Under these circumstances, the silicone liner and the residual
limb should be cleaned several times a day. The same goes for seasons in which there are high
outdoor temperatures. In this case, the entire body – and thus also the stump in the liner –
sweat more strongly.
Attention!
If the perspiration does not get back to normal within this time, the user should
consult an orthopaedic technician or a medical doctor.
11 Stump socks
Note!
Volume fluctuation of the residual limb can be evened out by stump socks
(e.g. Item-no. 25A11 Terrycloth-BK Stump Sock). These are worn on top of the
sealing lip liner.
These are available in different sizes with the following Item-No.:

12 Cleaning
Note!
Proper hygiene is extremely important when using the sealing lip liner.
Please review the following care instructions very thoroughly together with the user.
Attention!
To prevent skin irritations, the residual limb and sealing lip liner should be washed
daily resp. each time the sealing lip liner has been worn. We recommend to use the
gentle, liquid cleaning agent 10H2 Skin Care-Washing Lotion by Streifeneder.
The sealing lip liner must be thoroughly cleaned with 10H2 Skin Care-Washing Lotion at the
end of each day of wear, and should be allowed to dry for at least 24 hours so humidity which
may remain in the material can air out.
