Please carefully read the safety instructions and the user manual before using this product. Keep away from children. Use the device
only as specified in the user manual.
The kit includes: infrared thermometer, user manual, and warranty card.
Getting started
• Open the battery compartment cover and insert 2 AAA batteries. Close the cover.
• Press the Start/Measure button to turn on the device.
• The device switches off automatically after 30 seconds from the last action.

Usage
Point the sensor of the device at the measured surface and press the Start/Measure button. The display will start showing the measurement
process indicator [4], and the device will start measuring the temperature of the surface. To stop the measurement process, release the
Start/Measure button. The device will enter the data hold mode [1], and the display will start showing the last temperature recorded during
the measurement process.
During measurement, keep an optimal distance to the measured object. The smaller the object, the closer the device should be held. For
more information on the optimal distance, please refer to the "Distance" section.
The device has a built-in laser pointer that can be used for easier aiming. To switch the laser pointer on or off, use the Laser/Down button.
The laser operation indicator [5] appears on the screen when the laser pointer is turned on. The laser is only used for aiming and does not
affect the measurement process in any way.
Use the Backlight/Up button to switch the display backlight on or off.
The surface temperature can be measured either in the range mode or in the maximum value mode. In the maximum value mode, the
display shows the MAX icon [9]. To switch between the modes, use the Mode button.
Range mode:
When the temperature value exceeds the set range, the alarm indicator on the top side of the device will turn red. The display will show
either the Low icon [3] or the Hi icon [2], depending on whether the temperature value is below or above the set range.
For more detailed information on how to set the temperature range for this mode, please refer to the "Settings" section.
Maximum value mode:
In this mode, the display will show the maximum registered value during ongoing measurement.
Settings
Press and hold the Mode button for two seconds to enter the Setup mode. In this mode, you can change the lower and upper limits for the
range mode, set the emissivity value, and select the temperature unit.
Upper range limit
In Setup mode, press the Mode button until the upper limit icon [2] lights up. The temperature value field [6] will show the currently set upper
limit value. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the upper limit value.
Press the Mode button to move to the next setting or hold it for two seconds to exit the Setup mode.
Lower range limit
In Setup mode, press the Mode button until the lower limit icon [3] lights up. The temperature value field [6] will show the currently set lower
limit value. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the lower limit value.
Press the Mode button to move to the next setting or hold it for two seconds to exit the Setup mode.
