WARNING:
To prevent serious injury, never assemble,
disassemble or adjust the unit while it is running. Always
disconnect the unit from the power source to prevent the
unit from starting accidentally. Always allow the unit to cool
before assembling, disassembling or adjusting the unit.

unit, always make sure the connections are clean and free
from debris when assembling or disassembling the unit.
This unit can be used as a chain saw or as a pole saw.
Assemble the unit as a pole saw for most pruning operations.
Assemble the unit as a chain saw for felling, limbing and bucking
operations.
ASSEMBLING THE UNIT AS A POLE SAW
1. Set the chain saw and pole on a flat, level surface.
2. Disconnect the motor assembly from the handle assembly
(Fig. 1): Press and hold the latch buttons on both sides of the
handle assembly. While continuing to press the latch buttons,
slide the motor assembly out of the handle assembly.
3. Connect the motor assembly to the pole assembly (Fig. 2):
Press and hold the latch buttons on both sides of the pole
assembly. While continuing to press the latch buttons, slide the
motor assembly onto the pole assembly. Release the latch
buttons and gently pull the assemblies to make sure they are
completely connected.
4. Connect the handle assembly to the pole assembly (Fig. 3):
Press and hold the latch buttons on both sides of the handle
assembly. While continuing to press the latch buttons, slide the
handle assembly onto the pole assembly. Release the latch
buttons and gently pull the assemblies to make sure they are
completely connected.
ASSEMBLING THE UNIT AS A CHAIN SAW
1. Set the unit on a flat, level surface.
2. Disconnect the handle assembly from the pole assembly
(Fig. 3): Press and hold the latch buttons on both sides of the
handle assembly. While continuing to press the latch buttons,
slide the handle assembly off of the pole assembly.
3. Disconnect the motor assembly from the pole assembly (Fig. 2):
Press and hold the latch buttons on both sides of the pole
assembly. While continuing to press the latch buttons, slide the
motor assembly off of the pole assembly.
4. Connect the motor assembly to the handle assembly (Fig. 1):
Press and hold the latch buttons on both sides of the handle
assembly. While continuing to press the latch buttons, slide the
motor assembly into the handle assembly. Release the latch
buttons and gently pull the assemblies to make sure they are
completely connected.
