For sandwiches, a setting between 5 and 6

is a danger of burns.
∙ Open the sandwich holder.
∙ Place the prepared sandwich on one half
of the sandwich holder, then bring the two
halves together.
∙ Adjust the browning control, lower the
sandwich holder into the toast slot and
press the operating lever down.

10
∙ Once the pre-set degree of browning has
been reached, the appliance will switch
off automatically and the indicator light will
go out.
∙ Lift out the sandwich holder.
∙ Open the holder and remove the
sandwich.
∙ To achieve regular browning when
toasting several sandwiches in

down for 60 - 90 seconds after each
cycle.
∙ The toasting time may be shortened as a
result of fl uctuations in the power supply.
∙ Do not cover the toast slots during
operation.
Practical hints
Practical hints for best results when toasting
sandwiches:
∙ A sandwich should consist of two slices of
sandwich bread with a fi lling in between.
∙ All types of fi lling should be sliced (eg
cooked ham), as there is a danger of food
falling down into the interior if other kinds
of fi lling, such as tuna fi sh, are used.
∙ All common types of sandwich bread can
be used.
∙ White bread should preferably be one day
old when it is used for sandwiches.
∙ The slices for the fi lling (cheese, ham
etc) should be cut to match the sandwich
shape.
