Inserting the batteries
∙ Take off the rear cover to access the
battery compartment.
∙ Fit the batteries inside, ensuring correct
polarity, and replace the cover.
∙ The unit requires 1.5V batteries type
LR03/AAA.
∙ During extended periods of non-use, the
batteries should be removed.
∙
Never dispose of old batteries
in your domestic garbage. Old
batteries must be disposed of
through local 'special garbage
collection points'.
Display format selection (°F / °C)
∙ The lower part of the battery compartment
contains the selector switch for the
temperature display format, Celsius or
Fahrenheit.
∙ The ex-factory setting is Fahrenheit (°F),
but this can be changed to Celsius (°C).
Before fi rst use
∙ Remove the safety caps.
∙ Clean the appliance as described in
Cleaning and care.
∙ Remove the protective foil from the LCD
display.
Operation
Switching on or off :
∙ Press the Meat button to switch the
appliance on.
∙ To switch off, keep the Meat button
depressed for about 2 seconds.
∙ If the thermometer is not used for more
than 10 minutes, it will automatically
switch off (while saving the last setting).
