Instrucciones de seguridad
El Statox 501 IR es un transmisor a prueba contra
explosiones clasificado para uso en zonas del grupo II
categoría 2. Mide concentraciones de gases y vapores de
hidrocarburos combustibles. Tiene un elevado grado de
seguridad y puede montarse en zonas 1 y 2.
Por favor respete, las instrucciones siguientes:
•
El transmisor es un dispositivo a prueba de
explosiones. Deben respetarse todas las normas
respecto a la instalación de aparatos a prueba de
explosiones (p. ej. DIN EN 60079-14, sección 6, 9 y
10).
• El transmisor debe funcionar únicamente con voltajes
18 - 29 V CC (voltajes de seguridad muy bajos).
• El transmisor no debe abrirse sin estar desconectado
de la red.
• Únicamente deben emplearse piezas de repuesto y
accesorios Compur originales.
• Apretar todos los tornillos antes de poner el transmisor
en funcionamiento.
• Funcionar con un transmisor que tenga la carcasa
dañada atenta contra la seguridad.
• El transmisor no debe funcionar en ningún entorno
fuera de los valores aprobados.
• El certificado de conformidad no incluye la aprobación
del rendimiento.
•
Deben respetarse todas las advertencias indicadas
más arriba. Un montaje o conexión incorrectos anula
las propiedades a prueba de explosiones, y por lo
tanto resulta peligroso para la vida y para los bienes
materiales.

Safety instructions
The Statox 501 IR is an explosion proof transmitter rated
for use in group II category 2 areas. It measures the
concentration of combustible gases and the vapors of
hydrocarbons. It has a high degree of safety and can be
installed in zone 1 and 2.
Please observe the following instructions:
• The transmitter is an explosion proof device. All
regulations regarding installation of explosion proof
equipment (i. e. DIN EN 60079-14, section 6, 9 and 10)
should be observed.
• The transmitter must be exclusively operated with 18 -
29 V DC (safety extra-low voltage).
• The transmitter may not be opened unless it is
disconnected from the power supply.
• Only original Compur spare parts and accessories must
be used.
• All screws must be tightened before operating the
transmitter.
• Operating the transmitter with a damaged housing is
unsafe.
• The
transmitter
must
environment outside of the approval rating.
• The certificate of conformity does not include a
performance approval.
• All of the above warnings must be observed. Incorrect
installation or connection will void the explosion proof
rating and thus be dangerous to life and assets.
