Safety switch
A special safety switch in the motor housing
ensures that the appliance can only be
operated if the blender, smoothie or grinding
top is properly locked in position.
Before removing an attachment, make sure
that the rotary control is in position 0. This
also applies when fi tting an attachment
to the motor housing. If the control is not
in its off-position (0), the motor will start
immediately.
Multi-mixer operation
∙ Fit the blender jug to the motor housing,
with its handle to the right, in such a way
that the two triangle symbols are aligned.
∙ Put the ingredients into the blender jug.
The jug has a maximum capacity of 1000
ml. To avoid possible foaming or spilling
when processing 'foamable' or thin liquids
such as milk, do not fi ll the jug over the
700 ml mark.
∙ Replace the lid so that the spout is
completely covered.
∙ To add ingredients during operation, the
stopper in the centre of the lid can be
removed. Do not insert any implements
into the blender top while the appliance is
operating.
∙ Insert the plug into the wall outlet and use
the rotary control to select the required
power setting.
∙ Caution: Do not operate when the
blender jug is empty. Do not fi ll it with dry
items only, such as nuts, almonds etc.
∙ After using the blender, switch off and
remove the plug from the wall socket.
Wait until the motor has come to a
complete standstill before removing the
blender jug.
Using the multi-mixer to crush ice
Ice-cubes can be easily crushed in the
blender jug:
Fill the jug a quarter full with ice cubes, and
then fi t it to the motor housing, as described
in the section Multi-mixer operation. Put on
the lid with the stopper in place, and use the
pulse function (P) to operate the appliance
for about 2 seconds. Wait until the ice cubes
have collected in the bottom of the blender
jug again and then repeat the process,
until the cubes have been reduced to the
required size.
Smoothie-maker operation
∙ Cut the ingredients into cubes of about
15 mm and put them into the smoothie
top (see pic. A).
∙ For best results, the following sequence
should be observed:
1. liquids
2. fresh ingredients
3. frozen ingredients
4. yoghurt/ice-cream
∙ The container has a maximum capacity
of 600 ml.
∙ Screw the blade unit clockwise onto the
smoothie top.
∙ Turn the smoothie top upside down and
fi t it to the motor housing in such a way
that the two triangle symbols are aligned.
Now lock the smoothie top by turning it
clockwise.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable outlet
and use the rotary control to select
the desired speed setting or the pulse
function (P).
