Selecting helmet size
• M easure the head circumference and select the helmet size accor-
dingly. Try on several helmets before you decide. With the helmet
on, ideally the skin should move at the temples.
• M ake sure that the helmet does not move freely on the head even
when the chin strap has not been tightened.
• F or a secure fit, the chin strap must be tightly closed. It fits correctly
when you find it difficult to slide your fingers under the chin strap.
However, you must always still be able to breathe, swallow, and
turn your head comfortably.
• T he helmet fits correctly when it sits tightly but still comfortably on
your head (fig. B).
• I f the helmet is too big (wobbles, cannot be adjusted tightly
enough) or too small (squeezes, leaves the forehead free), please
select a helmet of the next largest or smallest size.
• I f the helmet cannot be adjusted correctly, it may not be used.
Adjusting the chin strap (fig. C)
You can adjust the general length of the chin strap using the loop.
You can also alter the length of the chin strap with the strap divider
clip. Make sure, however, that the strap divider does not get in the
way, that the straps do not cover your ears, and that the lock does
not rest on your chin.
