WARNING: This appliance is equipped with an earthed supply cord. Periodically check the supply cord for
any damages. If the supply cord is damaged, contact the store where the appliance was bought or a qualified
technician for repairing or replacement in order to avoid hazards.
Always hold the plug to disconnect it from the wall socket and not by the supply cord.
The power supply specification must always be respected and any extension cord that may be used must be
similar to the appliance's supply cord.
Never connect the appliance to a triple socket since it is not ready for electrical power overload.
Do not place any objects on top of the supply cord. Never bend or twist it, and make sure it does not come
into contact with sharp edges, hot surfaces or where people may walk past and trip. Do not leave the supply
cord hanging in such a position that a child may reach it.
During usage, never place the appliance near easily flammable materials such as kitchen cloth, curtains, etc.
Never dry clothes, papers or newspapers, animals, or any other objects over or inside the appliance, since
they may bun or explode.
The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating. Don't touch those
surfaces to avoid burns.
Never move the appliance while it is operating.
After using the appliance and before proceeding to any cleaning operation or storage, make sure the
appliance is disconnected from the wall socket and has cooled down completely.
Always use the food's minimum cooking time to avoid over cooking or spoil the food. If passed that time the
food is not duly cooked, more cooking time can be added. Pay special attention not to exceed the cooking
time advised by the food producers since the food may burn or damage the appliance in extreme
circumstances.
Always use the glass tray and the roller ring duly assembled. The glass tray rotates randomly to the left or to
the right.
Keep the air vents clean from dust and away from materials that may burn due to the expelled hot air. If the air
vents became blocked during operation, the appliance may overheat.
Do not touch the interior walls of the appliance, since they can heat and cause burns, even after the cooking
stops.
To avoid fire hazard inside the microwave, take the following precautions:
o
Never store inflammable materials inside the appliance.
o
Remove all the strings from the plastic or paper bags.
o
Never store objects inside the appliance when it is not in use, due to the danger of switching on the
appliance accidentally.
Maintain a 50 cm distance from the appliance when you open its glass door, since the released hot air or
steam may cause burns.
In case of skin burns, follow the below first aid instructions:
o
Place the burned body area in cold water for 10 minutes at least;
o
Cover it with a clean and dry gauze:
o
Never apply any cream, oil or lotion;
o
If necessary, got to your doctor.
SAFETY MEASURES BEFORE COOKING SOLID OR LIQUID FOOD
Never use any metallic recipients or utensils in this appliance, such as: dishes decorated with gold or silver,
metal sticks, forks, etc. The use of non-adequate recipients or utensils may result in an electrical discharge or
sparks that may damage the appliance.
WARNING: Do not heat bottles, baby bottles, cans, jars, closed recipients, food with skin, shell or membrane,
without being previously open, without the lids or pierced, due to the risk of exploding.
WARNING: Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled-eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens since
they may explode, even after microwave heating has ended.
When you heat food packed in paper or plastic, never leave the appliance unattended in order to avoid the
material's ignition.
The food heating is not regular and you should wait about 20 seconds after the appliance switches off, shake
the container in case of liquids or mix the solid food, and wait the food to even the temperature. Pay special
attention when heating baby food; always check the temperature previously.
The bottles with a narrow opening may explode when overheated. It is advisable the use of recipients with an
opening wider than the base, and never fill them completely to avoid spilling the liquid when heated.
