Switching on/off
After connecting the system to the power supply, you can switch it on and off at any
time. After switching it on, various LED lights start to flash or light up. Those LEDs are
automatically switched off after a short while in order to prevent interfering with a dark
environment or with the background lighting. The LEDs are automatically switched
back on as soon as you change a setting, e.g. adjust the volume.
– Turn the main switch to position I to switch on the system.
– Turn the main switch to position O to switch off the system.
LEDs
The system is equipped with several LEDs. These LEDs are tricolored (green, orange,
red) and indicate different functions and system statuses. These LEDs are automati-
cally switched off after a short while to prevent interfering with other lighting. However,
they are turned back on automatically when operating the system.
You can find an overview of all LEDs and their meaning on page 59.
Remote Control
You can control most of the system's functions using the remote. The remote control
uses an infrared transmitter. That means you have to point the remote to the system
when pressing one of its buttons. The line of sight between the remote control and the
system must be unobstructed.
The remote is delivered with a battery inserted, but protected with a foil to prevent
premature discharging of the battery. Replacing the battery is described on page 56.
– Before using the remote for the first time, remove the foil from its battery
compartment.
– Step in front of the system, point the remote towards it and press any button.
The POWER LED on the system will flash up briefly to confirm signal reception.
