9. Inspect all parts. Replace any that are damaged or excessively
worn. (Refer to the Replacement Parts table.)
10. Install the o-ring (10) onto the connection flange (12).
11. Attach the connection flange to the volute (4) using the two
flange screws (13), ensuring that the o-ring stays in place and
that the hole (11) is toward the bottom.
12. Install the o-ring (7) onto the motor housing (9).
13. Carefully slide the rotor assembly (6) into the motor housing
ensuring that the two holes (5) in the plate align with the two
pins (8) on the housing.
14. Check to ensure that the rotor assembly rotates easily.
15. Using the four housing screws (3), attach the volute/connection
flange assembly to the motor housing, ensuring that the o-ring
remains in place and that the pin (14) fits into the hole (11).
16. Install the two clips and secure them using the four clip
screws (1).
17. Restore power to the pump and check for proper operation.
Refer to the Troubleshooting section if the pump is not operat-
ing properly.

CLEANING THE FP6 AND FP9 (FIGURE 6):
1. Disconnect the pump from power.
2. Remove the four housing screws (3) securing the volute (4) to
the motor housing (9).
3. Remove the volute from the motor housing.
4. Remove the rotor assembly (6) and the o-ring (7) from the
motor housing.
5. Clean all parts with clean water and a sponge.
6. Inspect all parts and replace any that are damaged or exces-
sively worn. (Refer to the Replacement Parts table.)
7. Install the o-ring onto the motor housing.
8. Carefully slide the rotor assembly into the motor housing
ensuring that the two holes (5) in the plate align with the two
pins (8) on the housing.
9. Check to ensure that the rotor assembly rotates easily.
10. Attach the volute to the motor housing, ensuring that the o-ring
remains in place.
11. Tighten the four housing screws evenly, each a few turns at a
time.
