R-080132, R-080134 and R-080138 are three practical
furnaces especially designed to heat casting rings and
crucibles for the dental technicians. They have a control
panel on which a pre-set sequence of temperatures and
times can be programmed by the user. Furthermore, up
to 4 different programmes can be stored.
fies programming, as previous programmes can be
recovered when required
INSTALLATION
Carefully unpack the unit. Inside the box there should
be an SiO
hearth plate. Check also that the muffle li-
2
ning the inside of the furnace has suffered no damage
during transport.
Set the furnace up on a smooth, firm, horizontal base
away from any source of vibration. Allow enough
space for ventilation.
There should be no other objects less than 15 cm
from the unit. Ensure especially that the ventilation
tube is free and at least 20 cm from the closest object
or wall.
During normal furnace operation fumes may filter
through the ventilation tube. This tube should there-
fore be placed below an extractor hood.
Connect the unit to a 230 V, 50/60 Hz, earthed power
outlet which protected by a thermal magnetic cut-out
with a suitable amp rating (consult your installer).
Before using the furnace heat it up to 300 ºC and hold
it there for one hour to evaporate off any moisture in
the muffle.
SMOKE EXTRACTOR
At the left-hand side of the machine there is a 230 V cur-
rent socket, extremely useful for connecting up a suction
system. We recommend using the Mestra extractors
R-080124 and 080125, especifically designed for this
function. By default, the extractor's control output oper-
ates when temperature is between 75 ºC and 650 ºC. In
order to modify these limits, proceed as follows:
