Threading the Machine
• Threading the machine
• Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by
turning the handwheel counterclockwise.
• Raise the presser foot lifter.
• Place a spool on the spool pin, with thread coming off as
shown.
E_ Draw the end of thread around the upper thread guide..
[_While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring holder_
[] Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the
take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye
[_Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on
the left.
[]Thread the needle from front to back or use a needle
threader_

(_) Guide
[] Raise the needle to its highest position. Pull down the
needle threader knob as far as it will go.
[_Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow in the
illustration, then insert hook(_into the needle eye,
Lead the thread around guide(_ and under hookO ..
[_Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow in the
illustration, drawing the thread loop through the needle.
[] Pull the thread through the needle eye..
* The needle threader can be used with a #11 to #16
needle or a #11 Blue needle..
Thread size 50 to 100 should work well.
