Troubleshooting
Problem/Fault
The fastening screws cannot be screwed
tightly or were turned too far during in-
stallation.
The fan does not start.
Fan runs loudly or sways significantly.
Light does not function
Do not perform any modifications or repairs on the product!
Safety-relevant parts may only be repaired by a specialist.
Possible Cause(s)
Building fuse or circuit breaker defective.
The slider switch for rotation direction 5 is
in a middle position.
Pull-chain 6 in "OFF"position.
Loose cable plug.
Fan defective.
Blade mounts q not firmly fixed.
Blade damaged.
Blade not balanced out.
Fixing plate(s) loose w.
Fan is not hung correctly.
Bulb defective
Loose cable plug.

Remedy
Replace the screws and nuts Only use
screws that match the original screws;
contact the manufacturer or retailer for
information.
Check the building fuse or circuit breaker
and replace if necessary.
Place the slider switch for rotation direc-
tion 5 into the left or right position.
Pull-chain 6 1 x pull.
DANGER :
Disconnect the fan from the mains network
before checking the cable plug. Check the
cable plug
Have the fan inspected by a specialist or
send it to Customer Service. (For address
see Chapter "Warranty and Service")
Check the screws on the blade mounts q.
Check the blades, replace if necessary.
Change the positionings of the blades
amongst themselves.
Check the fixing plates w.
DANGER :
Disconnect the fan from the mains network
before checking whether it is hung correctly.
Check the fastening of the installation plate
e and the extension rod 2 and, if need be,
correct any improper fastening.
Replace the defective bulb.
