6.7 Servicing of the sensor
Servicing of the sensor by the customer is not planned. If a sensor unit is defective or
faulty, this must be exchanged by the Service Department.
6.8 Can dust be deposited in the sensor?
How is a defective sensor unit detected?
Fundamentally, it is impossible to prevent dust being deposited in the sensor unit
during operation. However, this is neither a problem nor does it mean that there is a
risk of the measured results being falsified by this. The sensor unit has been
designed specially for use in dusty environments.
6.9 How is a defective sensor unit detected?
However, should problems arise with the sensor unit, this is detected from the
following signs:
− Completely arbitrary measurements are displayed. The depiction of the curve is no
longer comparable with the earlier curve or does not allow any logical connection
with, for example, the visible pollution.
− Repeatedly, there are disruptions in the graphic representation of the curve,
although AirWatch was not knowingly isolated from the power supply or switched
off during the time in question.
