Q: What is the best way to trace a wire in a concrete slab?
A:
If possible, connect to a live line. In any case, be sure to use direct connection and the
best possible ground connection. In Passive Mode, rebar (reinforcement bar) and other
pipes are likely to be picked up by the receiver. The Passive Mode is not recommended for
tracing individual lines through a concrete slab.
