2. Starting the mower

ATTENTION:
tilted for starting. In this case, do not tilt it more than is absolutely necessary and lift only the part which is
away from the operator. Always ensure that both hands are in operating position before returning the mower
to the ground.
• Before connecting the equipment to the electrical supply, check if the equipament's voltage matches the
local voltage.
• Check the switch is in off position and connect the plug into the RCD protected power supply.
• Place the bulk of the mains cable on the lawn, close to the starting point. Keep extension cord away from
cutting blades.
Warning: Do not start the mower if it is standing in a long grass.
• Press the safety button 9 of the switch assembly and then pull the on/off switch 3 against the bar.
• Keep the on/off switch held whilst releasing the safety button 9.
• To stop the mower, release the on/off switch and it automatically returns to its "off" position.
3. Mowing
We recommend to use your mower as outlined in this section in order to achieve optimum results and to reduce
the risk of cutting the mains cable:
• During the operation, move as shown in Figure 7.11: Move from position 1 to position 2; turn right and pro-
ceed towards position 3. Turn left and move towards position 4. Repeat the above procedures as required.
• Mow in straight lines, not in circles, and do not mow by pulling the machine towards you.
• Stop the tool if the mower has to be titled for transportation when crossing surface other than grass, and
when transporting the lawnmower to and from the area to be mowed.
• If you hit or become entangled with a foreign object, stop the motor and disconnect from the mains imme-
diately to check for damage.
• Exercise proper precaution when mowing on sloping ground . Watch your footing and wear non-slip footwe-
ar. Mow along the slope not up and down it.
• Do not mow on steep slopes. Be especially cautious when changing direction on slopes stand above the
mower to avoid risk of injury.
• Do not work towards the cables as shown in Figure 7.11.
Do not tilt the mower when switching on the motor, except if the mower has to be
