If this product is damaged by fire at any time while still
owned by you (the original owner), Sentry Group will ship a
replacement free of charge, if you send the following to Sentry
Group, 882 Linden Avenue, Rochester, NY 14625-2784 USA:
• Your name and address;
• A description of the fire, with the model number and a photo
of the burned unit, and a copy of the report from the fire
department, insurance or police.

Your Sentry product was designed, built and thoroughly
inspected at the factory to assure you of trouble-free service,
given normal use and care. Sentry Group, 900 Linden Avenue,
Rochester, New York 14625-2784, USA, warrants the quality
and workmanship of your product according to the terms and
conditions stated below. For products rated by Underwriters
Laboratories, Inc., the UL label indicates that your product is
warranted to comply with the requirements of the Under­
writers Laboratories Testing, Labeling and Inspection Service.
This product was inspected thoroughly before leaving the
factory and is warranted to the original retail purchaser for the
Term of Warranty of your product (see above) from the date of
purchase to be free of structural and mechanical defects due
to faulty materials or workmanship.
For purchases in North America
In the event of a structural or operating defect, Sentry Group
will repair or replace the defective part(s) or product at no
charge, provided that you notify Sentry Group of the problem,
by phone (call customer service: 1-800-828-1438 or
716-381-4900, 8 am - 5 pm, E.S.T., M-F) or in writing (to the
address on the back of this manual) no later than the Term
of Warranty plus 10 days after the purchase date.
• For Sentry safes, the serial number (included on the cover
of this owner's manual, or printed on the small label beside
door hinge, or under the escutcheon plate) will serve as
reasonable proof of purchase date.
• For Sentry products other than safes (e.g., a case, chest or
file), you may send a copy of your sales receipt as proof of
purchase date.
Do not ship your product back to Sentry Group.
You will be contacted with instructions.
The warranties set forth above are subject to the following
limitations by Sentry Group ("the manufacturer"):
1. The manufacturer's responsibility and the buyer's exclusive
remedy under this warranty are limited to the repair or
replacement of the defective part(s) or product, as set
forth above. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
incidental or consequential damages (including but not
limited to loss or damage due to fire, water, theft or
vandalism) to persons or property resulting from the
breach of this or any other express or implied warranty
applicable to the product. Some states, provinces and
countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
2. Except as may be otherwise provided by applicable law, the
manufacturer hereby disclaims any and all other covenants
and warranties, whether written or oral, express or implied,
including but not limited to the implied warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Where
provided by applicable law, such implied warranties shall be
limited in duration to a period of the Term of Warranty (see
above) from the date of purchase. Some states, provinces
and countries do not allow disclaimers or limitations of
implied warranties, so the above disclaimer and limitation
may not completely apply to you.

3. These warranties shall be void if repairs are made outside
the factory without prior authorization of the manufacturer.
4. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage to the
product incurred during shipment. The product was packed
in accordance with Interstate Commerce Commission
specifications, and with reasonable handling, should be in
good condition on arrival. Any claims for shipping damage
should be made directly to the carrier.
5. These warranties do not cover defects caused by
modification, alteration, repair or service of the product
by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorized
representative, or by physical abuse to or misuse of
the product.
6. No Sentry Group agent, employee, representative, dealer
or retailer has the authority to make or imply any represen­
tation, promise or agreement which in any way varies the
terms of this Limited Warranty.
7. This Limited Warranty shall apply to new, first quality Sentry
products and shall not apply to factory seconds or previously
owned products.
All of the provisions of this Limited Warranty are separate and
severable, which means that if any provision is held invalid and
unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity
or enforceability of the other provisions hereof. This Limited
Warranty gives you specific legal rights, which vary from state
to state, province to province or country to country.

Your safe is classified by Underwriters Laboratories, an
independent testing organization, to pass one of the following
rigorous standards of fire endurance protection:

• 2-Hour UL Fire Endurance Test
Subjected to temperatures up to 1850°F (1010°C) for 2
hours, the safe interior will remain below 350°F (177°C)
to protect documents. (This enables your safe to withstand
even high-temperature exposure, as the hottest part of a
fire moves through a building.)
Or
• 1-hour UL Fire Endurance Test
1700°F (927°C) for a duration of one hour.
Plus
• UL Explosion Hazard Test
Subjected to flash fire in a 2000°F (1093°C) furnace for
1
⁄ hour, the safe will not explode or rupture.

• UL Fire-Impact Test
After being heated to 1550°F (843°C), the safe is dropped
30 feet onto rubble, then cooled, inverted and reheated to
1550°F (843°C) for 1 ⁄ hour. The safe remains intact and

locked, with an interior temperature below 350°F (177°C).
