5.2 Maintenance
Your weigh module is a precision instrument, and periodic maintenance is one of the basic
requirements to ensure it will perform well for you for many years to come.
Maintenance intervals will depend on the duration of use and the application and ambient conditions.
Maintenance must be performed by a technician trained by METTLER TOLEDO.
Ask your METTLER TOLEDO office about service packages – regular maintenance by an authorized
service technician will ensure your weigh module remains accurate and lengthen its service life.
Checking the weighing performance
The precision of the weigh module is normally monitored by the test function, see Performing the
internal and external test function in the separate Installation Manual. If the precision requirements are
particularly high, it is recommended that you have the linearity, repeatability and other key figures of
the module, as well as all seal sets, checked by a METTLER TOLEDO service engineer.
Replacing the seal sets
The seal sets must be checked periodically and replaced after a maximum of 2 years by a METTLER
TOLEDO service engineer to ensure that the weigh module is properly protected. An appropriate seal
set is included in the range of spare parts, see Accessories and Spare Parts.
