Warning symbol, constantly illuminated: Brewing unit is not correctly inserted. Place
the brewing unit correctly.
Flashing: Cover cap of the brewing unit is not correctly closed. Place the cover cap
correctly.
constantly illuminated: The device must be descaled
Flashing: Descaling process is running
constantly illuminated: The device is emptied and then switches itself off.

13.4 Before first use

Remove the water tank, coffee grounds container,
the inner and outer drip tray and clean it under
running water. Thoroughly dry all the components.
1. Turn the protective cap of the steam nozzle
anticlockwise (look at drawing).
2. Push the protective cap down to remove
the protective cap .
3. Move the extension tube down and remove
it. Clean the protective cap and extension
under running and thoroughly dry them
afterwards.
4. Insert the extension tube with the protective cap upwards again.
5. Turn the protective cap clockwise (look at drawing).
Press the key and hot water is dispensed from the steam nozzle.
Assemble the device again.
Fill fresh water into the water tank. Remove
the water tank to this end.
► Don't fill the water tank if it still in the appliance.
Place a vessel under the coffee outlet and the steam
nozzle. Plug in the mains plug. Press
the device. The device rinses and water is dispensed
from the coffee outlet.
