2) SAFETY

This manual contains information and warnings that must be followed to safe
operation of the instrument and to keep the instrument in safe operation con-
ditions. If the instrument is used in a different way than the specified by the
manufacturer, the protection provided by the instrument may be impaired.
This meter complies with the double insulation standards IEC61010-1:
Category II 300V.
BY IEC61010 OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY INSTALLATION
OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY II
Equipment of OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY II is energy-consuming equi-
pment supplied from the fixed installation.
Note - Examples include household, office and laboratory appliances.
OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY III
Equipment of OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY III is equipment in fixed
installation.
Note - Examples includes switches in fixed installations and some equip-
ment for industrial use with permanent connection to the fixed installation.
OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY IV
Equipment of OVERVOLTAGE CATEGORY IV is for use at origin of the
installation.
Note - Examples include electricity meters and primary over-current pro-
tection equipment.
Use the meter only as specified in this operating manual, otherwise the
protection provided by the meter may be impaired.
