ASSEMBLY
WARNING:
If inner blade washer has been removed, replace it before placing
blade on spindle. Failure to do so could cause an accident since
blade will not tighten properly.
• Raise the lower blade guard.
• Fit the saw blade inside the lower blade guard and onto the
spindle.
NOTE: The saw teeth point upward at the front of the saw.
• Replace the outer blade washer.
• Depress the spindle lock button, then replace the blade screw.
Tighten the blade screw securely by turning it clockwise.
• Return the blade wrench to the storage area.

Removing the Blade

See Figure 2, page 20.
• Remove the battery pack from the tool.
• Remove the blade wrench from the storage area.
• Position the saw as shown. Depress the spindle lock button,
and remove the blade screw by turning it counterclockwise.
OPERATION
DANGER:
Keep hands away from cutting area and the blade. Keep your
second hand on auxiliary handle, or motor housing. If both
hands are holding the saw, they cannot be cut by the blade.
WARNING:
Always remove battery pack from the tool when you are
assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in
use. Removing battery pack will prevent accidental starting that
could cause serious personal injury.
• Remove outer blade washer.
• Lift lower blade guard.
• Remove blade.
Installing the Dust Nozzle
See Figure 3, page 20.
The adaptor fits over the dust chute which is located on the
upper blade guard. The nozzle attaches to the adaptor.
NOTE: If you use the nozzle, you should always connect it to a
standard vacuum hose.
To attach dust nozzle:
• Remove the battery pack from the tool.
• Lift lower blade guard.
• Orient adaptor to fit into the dust chute opening on upper
blade guard.
• Secure adaptor with screw provided.
• Align hole in nozzle with raised lip on adaptor and snap into
place when using a vacuum hose.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply
with ANSI Z87.1 or equivalent standard. Failure to do so could
result in objects being thrown into your eyes and other possible
serious injuries.
WARNING:
Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended
by the manufacturer of this product. The use of attachments or
accessories not recommended can result in serious personal
injury.
