3) Hold the test tips to the correspond-
GB
ing measuring points, and read the
frequency on the display.
The meter internally switches to
the optimum measuring range auto-
matically. The display may show "OL"
for a short time until the correct meas-
uring range will be activated. The am-
plitude of the voltage to be measured
must be min. 800 mV, otherwise there
will be no display.
4.7 "Freezing" the max. measuring
value
1) To "freeze" the highest value during
voltage or resistance measurement,
shortly press button "MAX" (9). The
display shows the symbol
2) In case of voltage measurements the
measuring value remains in the dis-
play even after separating the meas-
uring object from the meter. In case of
a resistance measurement "OL" is
displayed after the separation.
3) To switch off this function, shortly
press button "MAX" again. The actual
measuring value is displayed again,
and the symbol
Notes
To "freeze" the max. measuring value in
case of AC current measurement, press
button "PEAK" (3).
In case of frequency measurement it is
not possible to "freeze" the max. value,
even if the symbol

5 Battery Replacement
Prior to opening the meter remove in
any case the test leads from the
measuring object to avoid any danger
of an electric stroke.
Never use the unit if it is open.
If the display shows the symbol
9 V battery must be replaced:
1) Remove the two lower screws at the
rear side of the meter, and take off the
battery compartment cover.
2) Replace the battery. Observe the cor-
rect polarity, i. e. place the battery
onto the connection contacts in such
a way that the contacts of the battery
lock into place correctly.
3) Tightly screw the battery compart-
ment cover again. Only then set the
meter into operation again.
