2 Safety Notes
This meter corresponds to the directive
for electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/
EEC and to the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
With this meter very high voltages
dangerous to life can be measured.
Be especially careful with voltage
measurements from 42 V on. The test
leads must always be perfectly insu-
lated. Damaged test leads must be
replaced.
It is necessary to observe the following
items:
The meter is suitable for indoor use
only. Protect it against humidity and
heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 - 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth.
Do not use any chemicals or water.
If the valid safety precautions for
handling voltages from 42 V on are not
observed or if the meter is used for
purposes other than originally intend-
ed, if it is operated or connected in the
wrong way, overloaded or not repaired
by authorized personnel, no liability
can be taken over for possible dam-
age.
If the meter is to be put out of opera-
tion definitively, it must be disposed of
in a local recycling plant.
3 Applications
This digital clamp-on multimeter mainly
serves for measuring AC currents (0.1 to
700 A) in current circuits with low voltage
up to max. 600 V. The measurement is
made via a current clamp in an inductive
and thus contactless way so that the cor-
responding line must not be opened up.
DC and AC voltages, resistances,
diodes, and frequencies can additionally
be measured via connection jacks. For
continuity measurement a buzzer is pro-
vided.
