• The device is not suitable for cleaning in

Intended use
The device is intended solely for cutting and styling hu-
man hair. Any other type of use is not permitted. When
used for an alternative purpose, operated incorrectly or
when unprofessional repairs are carried out, there is no li-
ability for any damages caused. The guarantee services also
do not apply in such instances!
Charging the device for battery operation
• When the appliance is delivered it is not yet ready to oper-
ate. The appliance should be charged for 2.5 hours before
being used for the first time (see Fig.
light on the device signals that there is contact between
the machine and charging station or that the power cable
is plugged into the device. (see Fig.
Red = charging
Green = charging is completed, the device is fully charged.
Flashing red = charging status ≤ 15%
NOTE! When the battery is empty you can still continue to

use the device by connecting the power cable directly to the
device (see Fig.

). This also charges the battery.

How to extend your battery life
• Before initial use, fully charge battery. Please ensure that the

charging procedure is performed at room temperature. This is

the only way to ensure a long battery life.
• Charger and battery can heat up during charging. This is nor-

mal and not a sign of a technical defect.
• The supplied Lithium-Ion battery can be charged at any time,

regardless of charge state. Premature interruption of charging
15

does not cause damage to the battery.

Start-up and application
• Switch on the device with the on/off switch (see fig.

• Adjust the cutting length from approx. 0.8 mm to approx.

1.8 mm using the adjustment lever (see Fig.

• It is possible to extend the cutting length range by 4.0 mm,
8.0 mm, 12.0 mm, 16.0 mm or 20.0 mm respectively with the

help of the 5 comb attachments (the cutting lengths are in-

dicated of the combs). To assemble, slide the comb on the
cutting head until it locks into the desired position. Please

note that you should work slowly and very accurately when

using the comb in order to achieve the required cut quality.

You can hurt the person whose hair is being cut if

you operate the device incorrectly, for example in
the ear area. To avoid injuries, cut with one edge of the cutting

unit only. Ensure that the teeth of the cutting unit do not cut

ears. Push the outer ear rim slightly away from the head.
