VOL + / VOL – buttons
Adjust to your preferred volume level. The higher the vol-
ume, the more blocks are filled in.
– Headphone jack (Stereo)
For headphone operation, use headphones with a 3.5 mm
jack plug that you plug into the headphone jack of the
device. The loudspeaker is switched off.
Delayed shut-off (SLEEP)
The device automatically switches off when the selected time
is reached.
1. Keep the SLEEP / SNOOZE / ALARM button pressed.
"SLEEP TIMER SLEEP OFF" appears on the display.
2. Press the SLEEP / SNOOZE / ALARM button repeatedly
to select the time after which the unit is turned off. Select
from: 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes.
3. Confirm your selection with the AUTO SCAN / ENTER
button.
• The OFF setting deactivates this function.
NOTE:
• The activated function may not be shown in the display
for technical reasons.
• To display the remaining time, press SLEEP / SNOOZE /
ALARM. The REMAIN indicator and the remaining time
is displayed. Press the AUTO SCAN / ENTER button to
switch back to normal display.
Resetting the unit to the factory settings
Important! Any settings made by you will be lost.
• Use the UP / DOWN buttons to navigate through the
menu.
1. Turn the device on.
2. Press the SETUP button.
3. Select the menu "FACTORY RESET".
4. Press the AUTO SCAN / ENTER button. The safety
prompt "Press 'ENTER' to confirm reset" appears in the
display.
5. Confirm with the AUTO SCAN / ENTER button. The unit
starts with the factory settings (refer to the section "First
use").
Listening to the radio
Hints for FM / DAB Reception
• The FM and DAB reception are dependent on the
location.
Follow the steps below:
- Completely extend the telescopic antenna.
- For FM: If necessary, change the position of the
telescopic antenna to improve the reception.
- For DAB: For optimal DAB reception, we recommend
to align the telescopic antenna vertically.

• Depending on the location, some station may not be
received in your region or only with interference.
• When playing a radio station, the time and date is taken
from the broadcasting service.
• The FM and / or DAB supplementary information
(RDS / DLS) may differ. This is selected and transmitted
individually by the broadcast stations. If the reception
quality at your location is inadequate, the supplementary
information may be displayed incorrectly or not at all. This
is not a malfunction of the device!
Setting the FM sensitivity
1. Repeatedly press FUNCTION button until the display
shows "FM".
2. Press the SETUP button. "FM SETTINGS" appears in the
display. Press the AUTO SCAN / ENTER button.
3. Select the UP / DOWN buttons to select the submenu
"SEEK THRESHOLD"(scanning threshold).
4. Now select a value between 11 and 1
The currently set option is highlighted by " ".
11 = All stations are detected, even when they display
interference (noise).
1 = Only strong stations are detected. The search
passes over stations with interference.
5. Confirm your setting with the AUTO SCAN / ENTER
button.
Scan FM stations
1. Repeatedly press FUNCTION button until the display
shows "FM".
2. You have two options for tuning a station:
- Press the UP / DOWN buttons.
- Press the AUTO SCAN / ENTER button. Depending on
which button you have already pressed (UP or DOWN),
the unit scans to the next or previous station.
3. If the reception is too weak and there is noise on the
received station, try to improve the reception by changing
the position of the telescopic antenna.
Show FM information
Press the INFO button to show the following information, if
broadcasted by a radio station.
• The radio text is displayed in the display. If no information
is available, <No RadioText> appears on the display.
• The program type (PTY) of the station is displayed (e.g.
Pop music, news etc.). If no PTY is received, <No PTY>
appears on the display.
• Display of the signal strength.
• Display of date and time.
