ASSEMBLY
In order to ensure that the product provides the expected level of protection, it is essential that it is assembled correctly and in accordance with
the instructions provided.
Proper selection, training, use and appropriate maintenance are essential in order for the product to help protect the wearer from certain
physical hazards.
Failure to follow all instructions on the use of these personal protection products and/or failure to properly wear the complete
product during all periods of exposure may result in injury or death.
Check to ensure product is complete, undamaged and correctly assembled. Any damaged or defective parts must be replaced with original
3M™ Spare Parts before use.
Ensure that the operating temperature of the respirator system components (i.e. respiratory headgear) being used in conjunction with the
radiant heat kit are not exceeded. Please refer to the temperature guidance provided in the User Instructions specific to each component.
This product is not intended for use in welding applications. The Over-Visor will not protect the wearer's eyes from the harmful level of visible light,
ultra-violet radiation (UV), and infrared radiation (IR) resulting from arc and certain gas welding processes. Misuse may result in permanent eye
injury and vision loss.
The radiant heat cover may not eliminate all risks of burns if worn directly next to the skin.
The cover should be used as part of a complete range of protective garments that are selected in accordance with the employer's risk
assessment. The cover is designed for use in combination with the 3M™ Versaflo™ M-Series Over-Visor.
Always be sure that the complete product is:
- Suitable for the application;
- Fitted correctly with all User Instructions followed;
- Worn during all periods of exposure;
- Replaced when necessary.
