fins. The condenser is on the roof of the cabinet. A soiled condenser cools less, so causing energy wastes and poor
performance. Wear heavy-duty gloves when cleaning the condenser (fig. 19-20 on page 9).
When taking the cabinet out of service, disconnect the power supply and follow the steps above, but leave the doors open
to avoid foul odour.
Any maintenance operation not dealt with above, must be carried out by the authorised after-sales service or by quali-
fied personnel.
10. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
1) The cabinet does not start or does not stay on:
• there may be a power outage;
• check that the wall circuit breaker is ON;
• make certain that the cabinet plugs are properly plugged in.
If power failure is not due to any of the above causes, call the nearest after-sales service immediately, empty the cabinet
and store the foods in coldrooms or refrigerators that ensure preservation temperature.
2) The cabinet does not cool sufficiently:
• check that the doors are not open or ajar;
• ensure that the cabinet load is correct.
• check that frost thickness inside the cabinet does not exceed 5 mm; if it does, defrost the cabinet as explained in the
previous section;
• make certain that the cabinet is not exposed to sources of heat or draught;
• ensure that the foods were deep frozen when placed in the freezer (-18°C);
• check cabinet flatness by the use of a spirit level; mMake certain that ambient conditions meet the requirements on
page 7.
If the cabinet does not cool sufficiently due to any of the above reasons, call the nearest after-sales service centre.
If failure is actually due to cabinet malfunction, it is absolutely necessary to remove the foods and store them low-tem-
perature coldrooms or freezers that ensure the required preservation temperature.
3) The cabinet is noisy:
• make sure that all screws and bolts are tight;
• check cabinet flatness by the use of a spirit level.
Should the malfunction persist, contact the nearest after-sales service centre.
IN CASE OF A GAS LEAK OR FIRE, do not breathe in the room that houses the cabinet before having aired it properly.
Disconnect the power supply by the main circuit breaker (fig.17, page 14).
FOR FIRE FIGHTING PURPOSES DO NOT USE WATER BUT ONLY DRY-AGENT EXTINGUISHERS.
11. AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Should after-sales assistance be needed, we recommend resorting to professionals possessing the required skills, like
those listed on the back of this manual under the official after-sales network section. If spare pars are needed, request
original spares and ensure that only original spares are used on the equipment. Malfunction, however small, should be
reported to the after-sales centre right away.
