If the studio flash unit is faulty, if there is
a noticeable smell of scorched cable, or
if the housing is damaged in such a way
that the inside is exposed, then the
studio flash unit must no longer be used.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- Do not touch any internal components.
- Immediately unplug the connecting
cable from the power socket.
- Do not reconnect the studio flash unit to
the power mains if it has a damaged
housing, damaged reflector, faulty
modelling lamp, faulty flash tube, or a
damaged power cord.
- Never open the studio flash unit! There
are no components on the inside the
device that can be repaired by a layper-
son.
- The studio flash unit must only be repai-
red by an electrician.
During operation, the modelling lamp
and flash tube can reach temperatures of
up to 250°C, the reflector up to 75°C and
the flash housing up to 45°C.
DANGER OF BURNS AND FIRE!
- Always remove the protective cap before
using the studio flash unit.
- All ventilation slits of the studio flash
unit must be unobstructed when it is in
use.
- Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm unob-
structed all around the studio flash unit
in order to ensure adequate ventilation.
- Never touch parts of the unit when it is in
use or in the cooling down phase.
- The parts of the units must cool down at
least 30 minutes before any installation
and maintenance measures.
RISK OF EXPLOSION!
- The flash unit may under no circumstan-
ces be activated in the vicinity of
flammable gases or liquids (petroleum,
solvents etc.)!
- Therefore, remove highly flammable
materials from the vicinity of the studio
flash unit.
The studio flash unit weighs around
1.1 kg, and some parts can reach tempe-
ratures of up to 250°C.
DANGER of INJURIES from being HIT,
NIPPED and BURNED.
- Always setup the studio flash unit for
operation on a footing that is stable,
level and firm.
- Keep children and animals away from
the unit. They could knock the unit over.
- Install the cables connected to the
studio flash unit in such a way that no
one will trip over them and knock the
unit over.
The studio flash unit is no longer under
voltage when its capacitor is discharged
and the power plug has been removed
from the power socket.
